RYAN SZYMANSKI
FOUNDER
Ryan Szymanski is a seasoned real estate development professional with more than 20 years of experience in multifamily and student housing development. He has led projects from initial design through construction and lease-up, combining technical expertise, business acumen, and hands-on leadership to deliver high-quality communities.
From 2008 to 2018, Ryan served as President of Edwards Communities Development Company, overseeing the firm’s student housing and multifamily development initiatives. He was a partner at Avenue Partners from 2018 to 2025, before founding JACE Development.
Ryan is actively engaged in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for Cancer Support Community Central Ohio and the University Impact District Review Board. He was recognized as a Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 honoree in 2012.
JESSICA SCHUEREN
DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS
Jessica Schueren serves as Development Operations Lead at JACE Development, guiding projects from acquisition through construction completion. With more than 15 years of experience, she specializes in multifamily and mixed-use development, with a strong focus on complex infill projects across Central Ohio.
Previously, Jessica served as Director of Development for a Columbus-based firm, overseeing more than $350 million in mixed-use development. She is known for her collaborative leadership, successfully navigating entitlements, municipal approvals, and design processes while driving cost efficiencies.
Jessica was named a Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 honoree in 2022 and is actively engaged in the community through organizations including Besa, the Urban Land Institute, and St. Joseph Montessori School.
